    This is Eyjafjallajökull. Not a pretty volcano shape at all: the volcano is under that glacier somewhere. This was taken six months after the eruption and you can see the ash blowing in the wind.   This is the big bridge over the Markarfljót that remains intact after the jökulhlaup. This is the river in autumn; it would be much higher in spring.
